How adoption works
Four steps from hello to home
We match each animal to the right home, so the process takes a few days. Every adopted pet goes home sterilised, vaccinated and microchipped.
Bring your ID, proof of address and, if you rent, your landlord's permission for pets.
Meet them
Visit the shelter during opening hours, or ask about an animal first on WhatsApp.
Fill in the adoption form
A short form at the office about your home, family and other pets.
Home check
An SPCA team member visits to check your yard and fencing are safe.
Take them home
Pay the adoption fee, sign the adoption contract and start your new life together.
